7600GT is only $2 more than X1600XT (If we include MIR). But 7600GT completely destroys X1600XT in terms of performance

mmmm, well when i bought my computer it was almost the same prrice for a 7600gs and a x1600xt, but i tohught the 7600 was better...

Never compare mhz unless their both the same cores its like comparing two engines one goes upto 6000rpm the other 7000rpm that says nothing about the power gernerated. or what features it has to get more power.

GPU Cores have a certain amout shader processors as well as having an optimised design and having a certain amout of transistors. Try comparing fps in games in harware reviews.

The 7900GT wins hands down, I have personally tested it myself.
