I'd go for a cheap second hand that won't lose it's value. Such as a Jackson (maybe not all too cheap even second hand but it'll keep value pretty nice). Ofcourse a 100 dollar Fender imitation will be fine to learn on but moving on to something better is nescesairy when you start getting "the feel".
