where is repositories?? and if i have it installed how come i cant connect to my wireless internet?? i dont even know how to search for my router or open up anything that has to do with wireless internet.

cameron, merely installing ndiswrapper will not make your wifi card start working. Ndiswrapper is the tool to install the driver for the card so that it works. There are many tutorials on the ubuntu forum that I'm sure would be of assistance to you. You can see if your wifi is working by typing the command "iwconfig" in a terminal and you should see your card as the wlan0 connection.

where is sources.lst?? or how do i get to that?
and thanks for all this help. this is my first week with ubuntu and everyone is talking to me like i should know even the basics. but i dont. this is like another language to me. |

No offense or anything but it's probably better if don't tell you. Best not mess up your freshly installed Ubuntu. Anyway, I am brutally new to linux as well. I probably don't have more than a week's worth of experience. I hope you find the guide to help you with your wifi problem on ubuntu forum.
