AMD is perhaps a great overclocker... And Intel might get less higher percentage overclocking results but still a maximum overclock on an Intel will beat a maximum overclock on AMD's.
For example, the AMD 6400+ runs standard at 3.2Ghz and the Intel E6750 standard runs at 2.67Ghz. And both seem to be beating eachother in half of the tests. But the 6400+ runs far hotter then the E6750 and if you overclock both of them you'll get better (performance, perhaps not clock) results with the E6750.
The same goes for Phenom 9500 vs Q6600. Q6600 is better standard clocked as well as OC'd because as far as I know that 9500 won't do near 3.8Ghz...
