That is the program files for your 32bit applications, games, etc. Not a lot of apps or games support 64bit yet so they go in the x86 folder instead of the regular program files on an x64 OS... So it's not truly 64 bit, it is basically this way, 64 bit OS and the same apps...

Ahh ok. I got scared while installing BF 2142 it poped a warning up that said not tested on 64 bit systems....so i almost crapped a brick, but it seems to work fine.
