Default Crysis demo slated for September 25

Crysis demo will come out on September 25 !!

And here are the estimated system requirements

Minimum system requirements:

CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6600/X800GTO (SM 2.0)
RAM: 768Mb/1Gb on Windows Vista
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

Recommended system requirements:

CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GTX/ATI X1800XT (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5Gb
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX10 with Windows Vista


But those are not the official system requirements

hopefully by then i will have upgraded my system to something that can play the game at a respectable setting

All I need is to get Vista to play it in DX10 and have to play it on low settings with my videocard.

BS. The 8800gts will play it medium-high.

A 7950gt is enough to max it out in Dx9 mode I believe.

As for Crysis, I can't wait for the demo to come out either. I can see this being exactly like Far Cry though, just better graphics..

the differences between dx9 and dx10 are in-freaking-credible. the opening sequence of bioshock with the lighter on the plane... the lighting effects were nuts. saw a comparison screenshot of the dx9 and dx10 versions, night and day.

Maybe the 640MB but I think I will run out of Vram before I get it that high.
