Default Demo downloads

Where do you download your demos?

I just went through hell and back trying to find a decent download site to pick up Bioshock, the demo.. finally found one that allows me my full d/l speed.. but they variety of games they offer seems slim.

So, as I said before, where do you get your demos?

I myself have a subscription to fileplanet, I get full download speed, 500-600 kBps.. Many people don't like the planet though. Before I had the Sub I would just surf the net to find a site with a good DL speed. Sometimes I'd get lucky, But most of the time I'd be stuck with a fraction of the full.

500-600kbps is pretty slow, though.. I get, on average (provided the host cooperates), 800-1000kbps.

Is that number based on your download speed? .. or is that where they cap their downloads?

Base on my DL speed, I have a 4 Megabit connection. There server are uncapped AFAIK (or at least plenty fast). I can let you borrow my SUB for Bioshock if you want, I rarely use it except when Something good comes out, plus I'm abandoning it at the end of the month, soon.

I don't usually play demos, but any demo I want is usually available on Steam (ie Bioshock).

Last time I tried to use steam it bugged out and hogged the CPU. I uninstalled obviously.
