Question Please Help

Im beening trying to play counter strike source and get so much lag im running at 10 frames per second.My specs r 2.4 ghz Intel p4,512mb ram,nvidia fx5900xt video card and windows xp.I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP I CAN GET THANK U

maybe its because you only have 512Mb of ram....CS:S isnt a very demanding game though.

or maybe the lag is because you have bad internet connection ?

well i have dsl wit a netgear rounter thats okay becasue my bro plays it wit no problem.

yes it will,My rig runs it on medium fine so that should be okay.

That graphics card is just about minimum but the ram is no where near enough you need about 300MB just for windows to run in so your games have to load in and out of that 200MB spare ram and so it dont crash your games are also running on your virtual memory on the hard drive which is no where near fast enough to keep up with the game.

Not enough ram kills performance off all your components adding more ram than your aps need to run on, gains no performance. All my games running with windows takes up around 800- 1.6 GB of ram.

mt computer only suports 1gb so i mite sell it and get a dual core
