I have a Linksys Wireless-G router plugged up to the DSL modem in my apartment. My roomate (with the same model laptop) connects wirelessly no problem, however mine doesn't.
I see Linksys in the 'view wireless network' page and can connect... it says I have excellent signal strength and that I'm connected, but the internet still doesn't work. I've even hooked up a wired connection, going both through the router into my computer and directly into the modem with my laptop, and neither works. I don't think it's my computer though, since I can connect to other people's wireless networks in other places... It may be the router, but before purchasing a new one, I wanted to post and see if anyone knew of any settings to change. Thanks in advance |
