Default Questions on 1st QuadCore x64 system

Hello,

I've recently built a quad core system on a Gigabyte motherboard.

I have 4x2gb sticks of Gskill memory and the system loaded windows perfectly fine with 4gb (2x2gb) of the memory. However when I put the final 2 sticks of memory in the system (8gb total), it refuses to make it past bios.

There is no odd beep, no memory error, etc.. however the monitor goes blank each time.

I'm not sure if this is an operating system issue, or more of a hardware issue, but any insight would be appreciated.

Here are the basic system specs:

GIGABYTE GA-N650SLI-DS4 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI
Core2Quad Q6600
Gskill 8gb (4x2gb) DDR2 667 Memory
2 sata DVDrw Drives
1 sata 750gb hard drive
1 sata 250gb hard drive
Evga 7400gs video card

Thanks for any help.

Does that motherboard support 8GBs?
