Default Useless crap everywhere

Im wondering what methods people use to get rid of files that are placed there by some installations. but not removed in the un-installations.

For example im looking in my Windows folder and theres a bunch of.. well its a big mess. Is there someway i can sift out the useless crap?

Another example. i have random text files in my c drive. many logs. and scans and junk.

I also have 2 random folders in my C: called i386 and f73fc297b1e034f28a8128aa539c6b1c. wtf is that?

I would go ahead and delete all these random things myself but im afraid of deleting the wrong thing!

Some tips would be great help. Thanks in advance

dude you can delete anything in the windows folder.
its the logic, deleting something in windows will screw your computer, they are there for a reason

Logs can be deleted , they are picky though as they can re-appear again later, they are either created by Antivirus or windows or other programs , you may delete

did i386 come with your PC by default ? if so, leave it there thats system file, but if you have your winXP disk you can deleted it
the other large on is hidden i think, so you are viewing protected hidden files.Don't delete !!

hmm...i cant see what would go wrong by deleting the "useless crap" from the windows folder...*deletes*... *crashes*...*pays computer guy to reinstall windows/loses all data*.
i think(?) i agree with patrickv (you were being sarcastic, right?). i think widows would stop you before deleting any critical folders.

yes. windows does ask if you want to delete important files. just give a file
Code:
attrib +s C:\file
will tell you that you are deleting a file that may hurt the system

What? I thought you guys were just shitting around.

Is that what the popular people are doing these days? Sounds............. fun.

BTW it sounds like he was just trying to do some clean-up, same thing as CCleaner and eusing.. he just got really confused.

DOWNLOAD CCLEANER AND EUSING AND DON'T SCREW AROUND IN THE WINDOWS FOLDER OP!
