Default Win Vista question

Just wondering does Window Vista have Window Sound recorder just like win xp?
It look something like this:

Is there anyway i can download the Window Sound recorder? the original one because the one that Window vista provided cannot edit wav files, like make it louder...

im not sure, try googling it. but u hav a very low chance of getting it on the internet.
y dont u use another sound recorder? tht was ull be able to make other changes like crossfading etc.

Are they all sound recorders? Because i want something that can manage .wav files. I want something like make the .wav files louder, or delete parts of the files...etc So i am not really looking for a sound recorder software

Here's what I would suggest. I've used Reaper more than Audacity, but I believe Audacity is more what you want:

they are all sound recorders.
but if u want a specific part of an audio file, ull need a virtual dj like dssdj or atomix mp3.
