Sir Travis D is correct about the Ethernet Controller, as long as the network adaptor itself is installed in the system it will show up, even if it's not plugged in or connected to the internet. It's nothing to worry about.
While we have removed the infection, this will not affect your 'overclocking failed' startup problem, which is definitely not malware related. I suggest you try resetting the CMOS, to eliminate the possibility of incorrect settings, however a dead battery or faulty PSU are other possible culprits. What are your complete system specs?
