i am not actually answering your question but against it, AVG is not the best, no way in hell, there are better antiviruses out there and i dont know how they make money, but McAfee and others know about it, they just dont give a damn cause McAfee has its fair share of users so does norton !!

hehehe, i use avg and i hate how it slows the computer down while scanning, but its free and easy to use and has the virus, spyware, rootkit and other tools....i only use it as convenience of not mixing up different programs....i dont see any problems as in it is bad or not.......i have used adaware and i think that is very bad......and i actually paid for it, it never finds much.......

i have never had issues where avg didnt fix....apart from some really bad virus that needed smitfraud to fix

but if you can recommend some good free anti virus, anti spy/malware and rootkit programs im sure averyone can decide on what they like best.

its not the best but It's good for what it is as long as you turn off the daily scan. They make their money by selling better versions, they don't just have the free edition, there are many many others that do various other things aswell
