Default HP dv6449us Lag Problems

Last night I purchased an Hp dv6449us from circuit city. I play world of warcraft so of course the first thing I do when I get home is install world of warcraft and start playing. I was extremely upset with the way this notebook is performing. My desktop has a P4 1.8ghz cpu, 1gb ram, and some low lvl nvidia card. I figured the laptop would run 10x better, but it doesn't appear so.

What should I do to try to improve performance?

I put the graphics on low and I am only getting an average of 13 fps. I believe this computer should be running way better. Here are the specs:

1.8 GHz AMD Turion ™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-56
Microprocessor Cache 512KB+512KB L2 Cache
Memory 2048 MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Memory Max 2048 MB max supported
Video Graphics NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA)
Video Memory Up to 559 MB (Shared)
Hard Drive 160 GB (5400 RPM) Hard Drive (SATA)
Multimedia Drive LightScribe Super Multi 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support
Display 15.4" WXGA High-Definition Brightview Widescreen (1280 X 800)

Today when I get home from work I plan on updating all drivers. But other than that I don't really know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

2gb RAM is more than plenty for playing WoW, so i would suggest dedicating as mush as possible to the GPU. a go 6150 isnt great, but it should perform better than that. if youre really not happy with it, take it back and get something a bit more powerful.

Where would I go to dedicate more ram? I've never used a video card with shared memory before.

Yeah 2gigs is the max supported for this laptop anyways. I just wanted to know if there is some kind of setting that I need to adjust to dedicate more ram to the video card. Thanx

youll have to press an "f" button at start up. probably f2, f8, or f10.
