Couldn't have agreed more. Compaq? I had to send my laptop in 6 times before they found that dead CPU fan (which I found before the first time I sent it in

Anyways, go ask any company that uses servers. I know a guy who said that he had more HP/Compaq's breakdown then Dells (servers).
And he used to work at Dell. He was the guy who helped the computers burn-in. He said they put them in a heated room for 24hrs.
