Default mobo upgrade

i just switched my old mobo with a brand new one and of course i didn't read here before removing the old one , now i'm finding out that i should have done some backups (nothing major i have multiple drives for that computer on removable trays so anything important is "safe")
Question:
do i have to create a bootable cd to load the bios or can i just use the support cd

now i'm planning on putting the old mobo into an old atx case an use one of my old manufacturer pc just for the os, is that do-able,

Please advise

The BIOS is embedded in the motherboard. Are you asking about loading the new motherboard drivers in Windows? If so, then yes... but the general rule is to do a fresh install of Windows with a motherboard change.

Are you asking if it's possible to use your old motherboard in a different system? If so, then yes... you can use your old motherboard in any system as long as the parts are compatible (CPU Socket, etc.).

Whether or not the video card drivers are loaded in Windows, you will still get the basic display.

Only attach your main hard drive for now. Also detach anything else that isn't crucial to get past post (the beep).

Great i called Tech Sup and found out there was another the Power supply has two connectors the 4 pins one was not connected on my other mobo as a matter of fact it was tied up with the rest of the connectors unused . so it fired up and i'm good
