Default Need your help!

I have an Acer 3680 and recently formatted it from Vista to Windows XP. Since I formatted I have lost functionality with the my built in WiFi and the switch at the front of the Notebook which enabled and disables the WiFi.

I have downloaded the Atheros drivers and tested them from the Acer website but none allow me to restore functionality to these buttons, or to my WiFi.

Can you help me please?

Try this to restore wireless functionality

In the Start menu click Run
Type in Services.msc
Click OK
Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration
In the left pane, click Start if it is not already running
If it is running, click stop, than start

restart your computer

right click my computer and select properties then hardware and device manager you will then see a list of installed drivers if you have any yellow ones that means no driver is installed and you will need to download them and install them, you can use a driver detective program to find the right drivers.

I agree with meanman. Ifyou reformatted, then you need to re-install the drivers. Go to Acer's website and find the driver download site.

I have visited the Acer website and downloaded the following drivers;

Atheros - Installs the driver fine, Atheros device appears in list but 'Cannot Start Device'
Intel Chipset - Does not work
Broadcom - Does not work

Does anyone know what I can do to restore functionality to my WiFi?
