Hey well I have college next year and I need to get a laptop for my engineering course. I was wondering though... Is it possible to upgrade a laptop? For example, say I buy a standard laptop for word chewing, could I later upgrade it for playing games or something?
Thanks for your time =)

Laptop's are upgradeable but with limitations. RAM is the most popular upgrade, can sometimes upgrade the HDD's but its not that common to do so. You cant upgrade the graphics, though in near future are are bring out portable graphics cards that connect via PCMIA slots. But in all honesty, laptops are not ideal for gaming really...

Thanks guys. I'm not really going to use it for gaming. Just for study, but it would be nice to run some older games when im on the move. I already have a desktop for gaming =)
