bad idea, making copies of copies always comes out bad. your relying on your sound card to play the song flawless, which wont happen with even the best hardware/software.

i know you said you dont wanna buy so unfortunately i dont know whats a free good converter out there. but if you find yourself doing alot of conversion, i still think Easy CD-DA extractor is the best thing out there.

its $34 bucks and does alot of formats and burns/rips just about anything.
