trouble with lexmark x1240

Hey all,

I have a lexmark x1240 3-in-1 printer and for some reason it will scan and copy fine but it refuses to print anything. The power light just blinks and after a minute or so the computer informs me that it cannot communicate with the printer. I have the latest drivers and all but it still refuses to communicate.

Right now my OS is vista ultimate but the same problems were happening when I tried the printer with XP. A week ago the printer was working fine and I am certain I havent done any damage to it.

Any suggestions welcome.

I believe this could be the same problem Hyper Kagome had a couple weeks ago.

Try the steps from the lexmark tech in this post: Lexmark x75 all-in-one printer. HELP!
They are a bit hard to see because it's a transcript. Romeo is the tech.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Did you download the driver form their site? The original driver that comes in the CD solved it for me.
