Question Thoughts on the spec for my new computer I am buliding

Hi, this is my first time I am buliding a computer from scratch where I have actually taken the time to do some research about what I was putting in it. I would appreciate any thoughts or comments on what you think of the system. I was going for high end main-stream. I am also planning to run Vista Home Premium 64-bit for the operating system.

ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP ATX LGA775 Intel P35 Chipset DDR2 1333FSB 2PCI-E16 3PCI 2PCI-E1 SATA2 Sound WLAN Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad Core Processor LGA775 Kentsfield 2.40GHZ 1066FSB 8MB

Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB 8.9MS Hard Drive

Kingston Hyperx PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2 800MHZ CL4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory

XFX GeForce 8600GTS XXX 730MHZ 256MB 2.26GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDTV HDCP DIRECTX10 Video Card

I am still looking for a power supply, I was think 600W should be OK.

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

I think should be OK.
But I personally prefer Seagate HDD than WD.
And suggest to get a 8800GTS 320MB if you get a bit of extra cash.

Any Hard drive will do, but right now Seagate is best. Just get one with 16MB cache though.

Check out the Corsair 620HX. 620W with 50 something amps on the 12+.

Get an 8800GTS instead, 320MB version.

I personally think that the quad cores are a waste of money at the moment as their use is limited. This means that in 99% of programs a E6750 will actually run them better, and its cheaper.

So personally i would go for a E6750 and a 8800GTS graphics card.
