Default Trojan infected windows file

My mom's computer (yesterday) got an "trojan" as said by Avast. It infected an Win.cab file, in windows32 folder... So I'm not really going to "Delete" it. Any way to fix this instead of reformatting?

looks a bit difficult this one, you need to specify the trojan name or google for the trojan name to find resolve for it

one possible solution would be to look on the windows cd and find the file on then replace the infected one with that. it may solve the problem.

Try the XP disc thing that Andy suggested, it could work...

Have you done a virus scan?
