Hey everyone.
I've never had a problem with the Sound Card on this computer, but it appears to be having some problems lately. I'll be listening to a track & half way through it will just have noise for the rest of the track. I'll change it or start the track again and it's fine, until about halfway through when it does it again. It's not the tracks, i've checked that. Sometimes it's completely random. Any ideas on what could be happening? Thanks

first sugggestions would be to update your drivers to the latest ones, you can find those from the manufacturers website.
If that doesnt help then try another set of speakers on the same sound card to eliminate them as the problem. Can also check to see that the card is seated securely in the motherboard.

It seems very random though. I have it set up so that the audio goes through an amp, so I don't think it's the speakers. & The audio card is built into the mainboard. *sigh* It better not be the mainboard -.-

if all else fails you could buy a sound card, they're not exactly expensive, doesn't need to be a brilliant one.
