Default Audio only with .avi files in PowerDVD?

I recently reinstalled PowerDVD 6 on my computer and I'm having problems with the playback and I've had this problem before. I had downloaded DivX previously and when I went to go play a .avi file, I found that it was using the DivX codec. I removed it because I wanted it to use what I would think the codecs that came with PowerDVD. But after I un-installed it, I only get audio from my .avi files. I'm pretty sure these files are not DivX specific files and you would think PowerDVD would have the proper codecs? I want to be able to play my video files using PowerDVD and not any additional codecs like DivX. I'm pretty sure I was able to do it with the same files before.

I think they might be DivX cuz that's what happens to DivX files when you play them without the codec, they only play audio, so I would advise you re-download DivX and install it and try again.

That's a bummer because I hate seeing the DivX logo every time I go to play something........

In the settings, you should be able to disable the option to "show logo at video start up" - or something like that.

UPDATE:
I just googled it here to remove the watermark logo.
you can also see these two sites that show you how to do it.
Here or Here
