Default Think im getting interference from someone elses router

Hi, the last few days my internet has been really sketcy. Downloads stop half way and don't restart, internet keeps going down, pages load slower. So I decided to reinstall all my wireless components (don't know why), when I came to set up my network I found someone else very close by is using the same router as I am (BT Home Hub). I heared this can cause interferance as microwaves do likewise. Do you think this is the case? and is there anyway to stop it other than buying a new router that runs on a different frequency or tourching my neighbours house?

Thanks

Jon

well first if he is running the same SSID name as you change your ssid to something else, second change the channel your wireless router is running on to something farther or lower on the scale (usually you can choose from 1 - 11). That should help out with the interferance because if you're on the same channel as him or running the same SSID that could definately cause problems.
