Default freeware antivirus

hey guys well.. is there any freeware antivirus that takes updates regularly and has capability of removing viruses efficently.. well most importantly with constant run time protection(the major criteria)..

yup, AVG Anti-Virus found here: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
is a good program.

Other anti-virus program that some of us use also is Avast
found here: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

AVG and Avast will be free for a while and not for lifetime.. dontcha think

No they're free forever. They're not trials. The home/personal editions are anyway.

I'm using Avira Antivir right now. It's fabulartastic!
