ok i think that it might just be hooked up wrong, cause thats what i had before i hooked up the HD and my sound worked. i see the AC'97 hook up in my comp and its not plugged in, does this need to be? im not really sure where it goes.

You mean the speakers aren't plugged in?

mine worked without sound driver lol

Because either you have an plug and play PCI Sound card, or XP installed it for you...

The GREEN plug needs to be in... thats the sound. RED/PINK is microphone...

Nope lol, i have window vista and the sound are included in the mobo...
