Default hook up ps2 to computer..

i have a sony vaio VCG-RA810G and i was wondering if i would be able to hook up my ps2 or xbox to the computer and play it off the computer monitor..??

Probably. I'm not sure what type of connection they use, but I imagine that there is some PCI card out there that you could use

You need either a video card or TV tuner card with a video input.

i thought you need a vga adaptor for the ps2.

Yes, if you don't have a card with video in, it would probably be easier/cheaper to just buy a vga adapter like this:

Perhaps you can get a VGA adapter from Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, computer stores....shouldn't be too hard to find.

yes you either need an adapter or similier or an "All In Wonder" type video card.

any video-in capable card with the RCA inputs will work. you can probably also find converters to go from RCA to cable coax and use a TV card
