Default Compatibility Issue?

So im trying to run Adobe Elements 2.0 on a toshiba laptop with XP Pro SP 2. When i click install Adobe reader, it reads the exe just fine and sets the program up. However when i click install Elements, the computer "thinks" for a bit with the hourglass on the mouse cursor and then nothing happens.

Figuring it was the CD, i burned the CD on another drive and put the clean burn into the Laptop Drive. Same Problem. I then Shared out the CD drive on a 2000 machine on the Network and tried it that way. Still the same problem...

Now i tried the CD on another XP machine and it will work just fine.

What could it be?
