Default RJ45 Spliter Q?

I have a inernet cord coming from my wall, it's hooked up to a router at the other end. Well i want to put a RJ45 splitter on it to connet a pc and an a xbox will this work?

You're gonna need to install a router or run another cable from that router...

so it will not work like this?



dang.... see im tired of unpluging the internet from the pc and putting it on the x box like every hour or so or when i need it. Or if i have friends over and one wants to be on the computer and can't if one is on the x box live.
