That is perfectly normal. 1st a 32-bit OS can only address( use ) about 3gb to 3,5gb of ram (3,5 is best case scenario) MINUS ! the amount used for addresing drivers. So as long as you only have a 32 bit os you wont be able to use more then about 3 gb of ram. The 32bit is used to address ram and I/O devices. That means as more devices you have inside your pc, the less ram your OS is able to address. hope you understand
