I heard about some patch for 4gb as well. This is just downloaded by Windows as an update. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the help guys, I don't have Vista yet so...
But should I have all 4GB in first and then install Vista, or install it, get all the updates and then put it in?

You'll probably be fine installing all of it at once. If not, no big deal, update and restart.

I think the 4gb thing with Vista 64 was just a few chipsets, and had a weird bios settings that would not let you install it or run with more than 2 gbs. Think the patch just works after you have installed the OS with 2gbs. But I think its just a few chipsets that it does it on.
