Hi...

Yesterday my pc infected by many virusses....then I log in to winXP safe mode. There are two option available, my acount ( in real XP, my account is the admin) n Administrator (only come in safe mode). This Administrator ask password, but I don't know. Is there any way to get back the password, my be from command line? or reset the password?

A 2003 free Windows registry guide shows how to bypass the need to pass a user or administators user account promot in order to boot directly to the desktop. A second tweak allows by passing the admin account entirely. These require a manual edit of the system registry where you add a few new values and set the values on those to see the registry tweak put into effect.

One thing to note is the warning about modifying the registry is also seen in the instructions found at [URL REMOVED BY APJ101]

When assigning no password to the DefaultPasswordREG_SZ value shown there the tweak is prevented from resetting itself where you don't have to key clicking on the user account icon to see the desktop load. How can I gain access to a Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 computer if I forgot the administrator's password? How can I reset the administrator's password if I forgot it?
