Question IT admin and IRC

I was at work yesterday and logged onto ustream.tv for maybe 3 minutes. I then closed the browser. In a few minutes, I received an email from our network engineer asking me about it.

I was wondering 1) how did he know this so fast 2) what software tells him this

We use XP Pro on about 1000 PC's with multiple servers, etc.

Thanks!

He probably had a network monitor open. Big companies usually log all that stuff as well.

Yeah, bandwith monitors or anything like that will get you caught... They even have Drive monitor loggers, for new files and action on specific network drives...
