Talking new laptop

im gonna get a new laptop for christmas but i have no clue what to get, i can only spend 1000 dollars and i plan on using it for school(papers, projects) and all the extra stuff like music and pics, nice display, small and light wieght i want it to be fast and reliable, i need ms office, i was thinking of a dell????

please help me out

This one has a better cpu but the gpu isnt as good.

A macbook will do all of that right out of the box and OS X is far more responsive and runs faster than Vista. You can also just download and run neo office for free, which is a native application for OS X based on open office. It can read/write/execute all MS office files so it is 100% compatible. Macbooks start at $1099 and if you are a student you can get an educational discount.

i have never used a mac i herd that they're complicate how
would i use the internet
if my school has wireless
is it the same
do they have limewire things that
how about printers, can i use mine
please help

Try and use complete sentences and correct grammar when you type.

You can use wireless internet on your Mac just as you can on a Windows PC.

Yes they do have P2P programs available for Mac's, however not as many as for the PC.

You should be able to use your current printer, check to see if you have a driver available for the Mac OS.

In fact you'll probably have more luck with your current printer running on a Mac than Vista, at this point. I would wait a few more months (closer to Thanksgiving), and then do a little more searching then...
