Well lets see, the easiest way is to get a 5.1, or 7.1, soundcard with digital out (coaxial or optical). Then buy a home theater system (receiver and speakers). This way, your HDTV, PS3 and computer are all hooked directly to your receiver. As for your headphones, i guess you can just hook them up through your soundcard.

its not a creative sound card, but it will work... buy this sound card, and then buy a home theater system with optical out... then connect up your PC to your home theater system via optical cable... hook up your HDTV via component and audio, or hdmi, and vice versa the ps3... what i mean is, either hook up your HDTV through HDMI, and your PS3 though component and audio through an hdmi to componet...

You will not be able to connect 5.1 channel headsets onto the home theater. And as for running the sound through the TV, I don't think it will work with the receiver off, as then there is no way of connecting the soundcard to the TV, unless you get one of those 3.5mm stereo jack to RCA connectors and directly hook the computer to the audio in of the TV.
