AAAAAGHHGH i hate xfire

..So, am I the only one whose Xfire tries to access something-or-other every 15 minutes or so, which makes the Windows "click" (like I were opening a folder or clicking a link)? Really, what the hell is it up to?

I disabled all patch/update downloads/installs/uploads. I think it's that retarded ad at the top of the window that says XFIRE. (In case I forgot which messenger I was using?)

MSN and AIM have stupid ads too, and both have "hacks" that you can download to remove them.

Is there some way I can take care of this? I know I can disable the Windows sound itself, but I don't wanna. I want Xfire to stop being a weener.

do you mean a clicking sound?

i get that sometimes from xfire

or does it open something

I mean the clicking sound. The one that plays when you open a folder or click on a link in Explorer or IE. It plays periodically when Xfire is running. Nothing opens when it plays.

I suspect it has something to do with the "XFIRE" ad at the top of the Xfire window, the one that takes you to the Xfire website if you click it.

i have installed a few patches that are supposed to remove the add. but they have just been a virus lol. im scanning to get rid of them now

I have xfire, it used to click, but for some reason recently it hasnt. It doesnt bother me, it infact reminds me that I need to turn off windows sounds...but Im too lazy at the moment
