Default Need a good sound card!

hello, i play counter strike source and have a good quality headset which is a razer hp-1 barracuda

http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?m...products_id=38

but my sound card is a poor sound blaster one, so when i play it crackles up some times, and for certain people who speak i carnt hear them but others can fine! (i just hear noise)

so i need a good sound card that goes well with a HP-1 Barracda headset

i know idealy i woulld want a AC-1 Razer soundcard but that is really expensive!!

i am willin to spen up to £100 any help would be great thanks

You could try looking at the Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer model. I am not sure about the price in pound though.

Does that only connect via the USB? Or is it both audio and USB?

IT has USB on the adaptor as well as standard audio jacks and an input for the mic so it should be compatible with most sound cards

xi-fi xtreme gamer should be a fantastic bit of kit within your prices range...

However if you want to get the best out of your headphones I would probably suggest investing a bit more and getting a Razer Barracuda AC-1, it has the HD-DAI connected that your headphones are designed for but its about £130,

If you want to spend the extra its probably worth it but otherwise the Sound blaster Xtreme will be more than capable of the job
