Unhappy Story of my (satur) day

So yesterday while sleeping, i heard some crackling noise from my PC, so i woke up and switch it off (too tired to check what ).
waking up the next morning, bootup my PC,i get a BSOD , so fast i couldn't even read it.
so i thought it was the disk boot failure again , boot up from the Xp cd, CHKDSK and FIXMBR, didn't seem to resolve my problem.
So i take the hard drive and boot it up on osX. OsX could detect only the D partition, i was like "oh ma god, where is C?"
well "C" was corrupted, not to mention my C was infested with the w32 worm fujacks the day before (i wasn't using Antivirus cause utorrent crashes)

So i reformat and attempted to retrieve back my lost data, every program i use said error reading partition or similar message. i was like "oh, sh*t".
So i did a full format and here i am, trying to re-build my desktop.

considering after the BSOD my pc reboots.
edit : it reboots even in safe mode, apparently my C was corrupted in read as "raw"

Well next time, don't switch off your Anti-Virus...

Did you loose all your files or you had backups of pictures, videos and music?

Ahh bad luck man

I had the exact same thing happen. Down too the type of virus

So now, i turned my old computer into a file server with a 1.5TB Hdd Space.

(got 3 CHEAP 500GB Hard drives off a mate, $100 Each, I was stoaked)

I back up my entire computer weekly.

It sucks i know. . .
