I may be given a free laptop from university and im just wondering which of these two do you think i should get?
One of the Dell XPS's or onbe of IBM's lenovo thinkpads?

well im after something reasonably high spec, portable with good battery life. You can get different speced laptops with each of thoes models. Im just wondering which one i should go for laptop wise not specification.

Like they said, I'd look at them before taking. Look at the specs. Personally DELL is my choice if in good condition. IBM is an good brand too. Dell personally because I have experienced and they are EXTREMELY sturdy and cool in my opinion. cool as in cooling.
