Is the amd athlon x2 5600+ better or worse than the intel core 2 duo 6550.
I wont be overclockng.

Its the same at stock speeds, but the E6550 will oc much better. Since the price is almost the same i would probably get a 6550

I would go with the E6550, but it also depends on the motherboard since those vary as well.
