Default Processor Replacement & Installation

Yes, I know it's old but I wanna upgrade a few things....1st thing I wanna do is the processor but I don't know anything about replacing or installing one. I mean is it even possible with this computer. I wanna try & get at least an 600mhz processor to start.....can anyone help me out?

A laptop that age wouldn't be worth upgrading unless you get the upgrades for free or next to nothing. Plus, laptops around that era typically used special processors that are difficult to come by. Sometimes they were even soldered onboard and no removable.

I agree, NOT worth it, you can get a used laptop with much better specs for less than it would cost to upgrade those parts, plus the bus speed is really slow and a faster processor would more than likely not be compatible with your hardware. What are you looking to spend in upgrading? for 200-300 you can get a nice used laptop with atleast 1-1.5 ghz and 512 ram

You can probably pick up a decent laptop for about $550 these days w/ a 2.0ghz processor and 1gb RAM 40gb HDD.
