Typical driver issues. Find the computer/motherboard's make and model (or soundcard if it's not onboard) and find the drivers on the manufactures website. Same for the networking card, or whatever you use to get online.
Most computer manufacturers have pretty decent archives of drivers for all their computers made over the last few years.

yeah write down your serial number, go to hp.com.. download your driver for your motherboard... im sure you have a seperate audio driver
