Question Having Problem Viewing Streaming Media

I recently upgraded to XP and have lost the ability to view many streams on the New York Times and the Washington Post. When I had Win2000P, there was no problem; however, now on many of the links I get an intense RBG effect (picture in Green, Some Blues and Some Reds). Where and/or how do I get something to correct these images? Is the a program I can buy and/or can I download Freeware?

Please help, I am a Political Science Major and need the news.
