The video playsOK with almost any player software but I can't hear anything.

In NERO SHOWTIME ESSENTIALS, I can do just that. In InterActual player, it does just that, but it also tells me that there is an ERROR in my sub-audio system. --- Run audio tests.

So, I go to run, type in DXDIAG - go to the sound card and run all the tests.

EVERYTHING comes out ok but still -- no audio.

I have a Bush sound system but the input is RCA, as shown in the image below:




At the moment, I have a 3.5mm Y-splitter, which is plugged into the pc, and 2x(3.5mm socket to 2xRCA socket) cables plugged into the Y-splitter, giving me 4 RCA sockets which is then connected to the speakers! Could someone please tell me how to connect this system to a computer properly, please? I had a look at external sound cards, but they all have 3.5mm output sockets.

All suggestions are welcome!
And if the method you recommend works with both Windows and Apple systems, it will be brilliant!

I have tried using a Y-connector-like cable which is supposed to split 1 headphone set allowing you to use 2 headphones. But by using that, the audio is not loud enough from both the xbox 360, and computer. So... is there some sort of adapter/connector which can allow me to plug in two inputs, without a reduction in sound?

They do have alot of bass and sounds like a speakers more than twice it's size. Also I noticed that the closest match to these is the Bose MusicMonitor and I was wondering if these are any better also. I got the Sony speakers for $187 plus shipping so I did get the best deal for them.



I would like to have feedback from you guys about the Sony Speakers I own and tell me what you guys think about them.

I'm connecting an external mic, and have it connected to the mic input on back of tower. It seems to work okay, I guess but do I need to do anything in Sounds and Audio Manager to recognize the mic?

I currently have listed under Sound Recording: Logitec Mic, which is my webcam mic, but that's not what I'm wanting to use. The other option is Realtek AC97 Audio, which when I select that, the mic isn't working.

My computer doesn't seem to recognize the mic I'm wanting to use.

Windows XP, and IE8

I hope I can get some help here. I'm trying to make some youtube videos.

I opened control panel and clicked on the sounds and audio devices, it tell me there is no audio device installed. I have speakers attached to the built in sound card and when I power them up I hear a clicking sound,power button is lit.
My Mb is a MSI 865GVM2-LS, 1gb ram, P4-2.60ghz cpu, 80 gb HD,logitech mouse,Microtek 14" screen, 2 DVD-CD,RW"s. I had to do a reinstall of window's XP awhile back but other than that nothing has changed. Just not able to play cd's or listen to music from the web.

I've went to the nvidia website and selected my motherboard but when I try to install the drivers it just says that its not the right one even though it is. I've gone through all the settings and made very combination of makins things default and unmuting everything but I still can't record any sound coming from my computer/speakers. Is it possible that I just need to wait for a fix on the problem? or is there a different place to install the correct drivers?

I still have the CD that came with the motherboard but it just the installation for vista and xp. I tried installing the sound drivers for vista but it gave me the same error as the nvidia website did. However the XP one worked and installed all the way but I still can't record anything.
