I was wondering if it was possible to disable a dedicated graphic card in my laptop so I could get a longer battery life. Does anyone know if this is possible/ how to do it?

You have to log off and on every time you switch, which is lame. There's other laptops such as the Asus G70 where it switches on the fly, depending on what your doing.

To the OP, not very laptops have dual gpus, so unless yours does it's not possible.

Nvidia has developed technology (Nvidia Optimus) that lets you switch easily. It's going to be on the following ASUS laptops UL50Vf, N61Jv, N71Jv, N82Jv, and U30Jc models and the Acer Aspire One 532g.

For now though you'll have to go into the BIOS and switch to integrated.
