Are there any other requirements. (need lots of storage, compact, etc)? Or is this system purely for gaming speed

well i just looked up prices and i way overestimated so maybe just 2000 usd. i would lyk it to be really good for gaming and have a really good processor and grafics card but i would like it to have decent storage and everything else should be average

even at 2000 we can aid you in building a kick ass computer.

Do you have any brand preferences? Any taste as far as case design that you would like?

Will max anything out for the next 3+ years prob at 2560x1440/1600 no problem, prob even on dual or trip monitors if each is at 1080p.

Or did you need the keyboard and mouse and monitor and speakers in there too?

Also if you can go up to 2500 we can add those to this and put in a kick-arse cooler for overclocking this and up the graphics to 7970's, actually might take 26-2700 for all that

im just gonna stick with a basic cheap keybord and mouse for now until i get really good. how much would that cooler and the overclocking cost?

Depends on how far you want to go, the best value is the cooler master hyper 212 plus or evo, which are 30/35 and will get the 2500k to 4.5 so the 2600k in that will prob go 4.3-4.4 i guess stable. Then you get into the high end air and closed look water coolers, which cost 60/70 to 120, and should get it to 4.9-5ghz, then you get to the home made systems where you buy the individual pump, tubing, res., block, radiator and a ton of other bits, which costs out the arse but will get you to 5+ghz rock solid at great temps, and allows you to loop in the graphics cards too so you can overclock them too and get them cool too.

EDIT: You will also need some thermal paste which you can get for a few bucks, or some good stuff for like 12 bucks, or the great stuff 30 or so.

Also you might be interested in at least adding 100 to get a 60-64gb solid state drive, which is basically a virtual hard drive that uses memory chips like a usb drive, they increase load times on everything on them like crap, boot will take like 30 or less secs i think.

You'll want an antistatic bracelet, it has a piece of metal that connects to a case and grounds you

Those are really un-needed. as long as you know where to hold the board parts you'll be fine. Also just touching some metal or wearing some latex/plastic gloves should do the trick, the first being the best solution really, touching the case.

so the regular stuff for about 2000 then i looked up the cooler you recomended and that was only 30 so how do u get up to 25k?

I recomended that because he said he was new so I wouldnt want him to ruin a couple hundred dollar part because he forgot to tough the case when he can get a bracelet for 10$
