How do you find the push/pull zoom on the 100-400?

The new 100mm is gonna be tempting but its over double the cost of the one i have currently and while it's 'L' glass..its a tough choice.

Haha yeah no doubt I absolutely love my 40D which is why I'm gunna get at least 1 more piece of glass before upgrading it or adding another to the family lol

Kit lens
Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro
Tamron 28-75 2.8
Canon 100-400 4.5-5.6L IS

I really want the 100 2.8 macro but I think I'll wait for the new one with the IS. And yeah the 24-105 sounds great too. I have so much that I want!! lol

Honestly man, your camera is awesome.

Most people will tell you--bodies come and go but investing in glass is most logical!! What all do you have? I recommend very highly the 24-105mm F/4L it's a sik, sik lens and is actually the 'kit lens' for the 5D Mark II. Also, the 100mm F/2.8 usm macro is awesome.

I have like 8 lenses. and have tried most of the lineup cept the ones that are like 5000 dollars plus...

Haha wow nice!! I just picked up a 580EX flash, got here yesterday. I'm not sure what to go for next though, I really want that 7D, but I think some more glass would be a better idea right now.

Yeah, thanks...I ended up selling my older SLR and another point and shoot, plus this old sony handicam and the 7D ended up being 450 out of pocket!!!!!!!

Yo man! So I scored a 7D today!

SIK camera..the autofocus is stunning!!! and with a high speed lexar 300x CF card I swear its like 12-15fps before buffering..

Yeah I know right? I was like, hmm...Whats the catch here? lol
I'm diggin the specs on it though. Price is still high for me but i'll get one eventually haha.
And yeah i'll sell the XTi for sure, just tryin to decide whether i'll be ditching my 40D as well or keep it. Im leaning towards keep it though

I'm quite impressed with this release..I mean they priced it well and jammed it full of features. I was shocked when I got the spec sheet. I bet it sells like crazy!!

I would keep your 40D and sell the XTI, and then put it towards a 7D.
