i'd definitely start trying to use your pinky (if you want). it'll feel really awkward at first probably, but it will help with speed, accuracy, and fluidity. it sound's so much better when you're playing say 4 consecutive frets (-11--12--13--14), for me anyway, when i go out of position i tend to get an unwanted sliding sound from moving my ring finger. in the long run it'll make things much much easier. if have some exercises that my teacher gave me that help strengthen the pinky (if you're interested lemme know)

and also, i think im ready to do the recording (i think i'll have some time this week to do it) danny said you were the last to do it, so, send that sucker over
